’87-’02 Jeep Big Bore XD Steering Gear w/Cylinder Assist Ports. The 8200R series conversion steering gear is a direct replacement for the small piston delphi steering gear that was used on 97-02 Jeep TJ’,XJ’s. This unit also features a larger piston diameter which increases the torque output of the steering gear. This extra torque is Jeeps to overcome steering issues due to larger tires and / or locking differentials have been installed.The SG061R features a ported internal valve skirt and custom machined torsion bar for the cylinder assist addition. The ports for the cylinder assist addition are machined into the casting allowing a o-ring -6 AN fitting to be screwed into the case taking the away worries of overextending a line and breaking off. The 8200 series is assembled in Texas using all new components and featuring PSC’s exclusive new gear housing. This is not a reworked core housing as the competition uses, this is a 100% new housing that is casted and machined right here in the USA!
